Today, Grove City is home to the nation’s oldest and largest forge still in operation. Guests to our facility can watch as skilled artisans and craftsmen create one-of-a-kind metal giftware in aluminum, solid bronze, copper, fine pewter and sterling silver. Once inside our showroom, our friendly associates will assist you with the well over 1,000 different gift giving items created in our workshop. Our unique line of Christmas ornaments and plates, serving pieces, home and desk accessories and jewelry are all showcased on beautiful antique display pieces. Our enchanting showroom also offers some of the most unique attractions in the area. Guests can explore exotic marine life in our 250 gallon salt water reef tank. There’s also our LGB train winding its way overhead on over 200 feet of track. Fan favorites in Grove City include our old time Nickelodeon and our African Gray Parrot. Located in the historic Ashbridge barn, guests are invited into the workshop to watch our skilled artisans handcraft the finest metal giftware made in America today. The gift shop presents these one-of-a-kind pieces in dramatic fashion, highlighting the Philadelphia-inspired line, stylish design work, and classic mainstays of the Wendell August assortment. We invite you to experience our workshop and showroom and to enjoy our legendary Wendell August Forge customer service!

Workshop tours are free to the public and are available Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM.

In July 1994, Wendell August opened our wonderful workshop and showroom in Berlin, Ohio. Berlin is nestled in the rolling hills of Holmes County, home to the largest Amish and Mennonite community in the world. The Amish are quiet people who hold fast to their traditions and way of life. They are renowned for their crafts, and the quality of their work is exceptional. We’re certain you’ll agree that the area was a natural setting for the Wendell August experience. The 13,000 square foot timber frame facility houses many exciting attractions, including a 4,000 square foot showroom filled with our unique, one-of-a-kind handcrafted metal giftware. Guests can’t help noticing the World’s Largest hand crafted replica of the packet ship "Columbia", or the World’s Largest Amish Buggy! There’s also an LGB Train winding its way overhead on over 300 feet of track. Stroll back in time in our museum featuring collectible Wendell August giftware from the 1920s – 1950s. Learn more about Wendell August in our Mini-Theater highlighting the company’s history. Make sure you step into our workshop and watch our craftsmen creating the giftware you see in the showroom and see American craftsmanship alive and thriving!

In October, 2000 we opened a retail store in the Prime Outlets at Grove City, Pennsylvania which is approximately 50 miles north of Pittsburgh and is one of the largest outlet centers in the United States with over 140 brand names stores.

Prime Outlets is located off of I-79, Grove City Exit 113. Our store is located in Space #745 next to the Food Court.
